The Sport Management program prepares students for a dynamic career in the global sports industry. The curriculum blends business principles with industry-specific knowledge, focusing on areas such as sport marketing, finance, event and facility management, and law. Students gain practical experience through internships, industry partnerships, and hands-on projects, enabling them to understand the complexities of managing sports organizations, teams, events, and facilities. Throughout the program, students develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for a wide range of career opportunities in professional sports, collegiate athletics, recreation, and sports marketing and media. Graduates of the Sport Management program are equipped with the critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and innovative strategies needed to succeed in roles such as sport marketing specialist, facility manager, event coordinator, and athletic director.

International Dimension Course Requirements


In order to insure that School of Business graduates have taken coursework focusing on the global business environment, all business majors are required to take at least one of the following courses:

This requirement is waived for students who have had a study abroad experience for which the student earned 3 or more college-level credit hours.
